Wind Tracker Wind System Application

Wind Tracker 134 - Item# wdws134

If you are going to mount the Wind Tracker Wind System on your existing pole, choose the Wind Tracker 134 (Item# wdws1345). The benefit of using the Tracker 134 is that it can be quickly and easily attached to most any pole. The unit operates exactly like every other Wind Tracker, and the Tracker flag fits every model. The unit comes complete with everything you need to mount to your pole. No special tools are needed. The unit is extremely strong, long lasting, and weighs approximately 1.5 pounds. You can choose the color of the Tracker, Alert Orange, Item#wdws134_6001 or Black & Yellow Item#wdws134_6002.

Note: Wind directions and movement can be vastly different at various heights due to wind currents, obstructions, or the lack of, and other factors. The best place to place the Wind Tracker is at ground level at or near the actual “Evacuation Lane”. The benefit of using the Tracker atop a structure or high point is immediate visibility from various locations by everyone on site to determine in a general sense the current wind directions. Ground level units may not be in the immediate vicinity for the person or persons for wind movement observation. Safety managers should walk the Evacuation Route to determine if one or more ground units are needed.  This will depend on several factors such as buildings, fences, landscaping, etc. The evacuee should be able to determine the direction of the wind along the entire route until reaching the safe staging area.
