I just received my poles and flags, is there any way to secure the pole and flag so it stealing them is more difficult?

If you install them in the ground you can drill a small hole in the bottom of the pole and through the ground sleeve. Place a small bolt or pin through both and cover with some soil, etc. We do not recommend doing this unless theft is a real issue because it could weaken the pole. If you must do this, be sure to make a small hole, 1/4" or so. It is very difficult to secure the flag. We recommend marking the hem of the flag with an identifying number using a permanent marker to discourage theft. Someone may still take it, but they will be reluctant to display it because of the identifiable markings.
